Insulating Rafters with a mezzanine

heys guys im in the point of Insulating my garage but i don know how to do it so that my mezzanine would also be heated and insulated. here's a pic of what im talking about..

that image is a littel dated but as you can see the mezzannine is 8' wise x 4' high

You don't have a lot of room for either ventilation or insulation. Kneewalls are tough to insulate. Look at rigid insulation on top of the roof deck and air permeable insulation between the rafters. See: A Crash Course in Roof Venting. Here's a real world example.
