I'm located in the foothills of the Sierra in Northern California. Temps range from 30-102. I'm looking to insulate and ventilate. The shop is 24x38 with 13' walls of 2x6s. The roof pitch is 5/12. I plan on building an 8'x10'x8' corner office that will have portable A/C and heat. Being from upstate NY, the cold doesn't really bother me. I've been working out of a Costco 10'x20' portable carport for the past 4 years. The shop ends are on the East and West side, so they get the most sun. Tuff Shed configured the end walls to have OSB panels which I will install myself.
I'd like to know what type of insulation would best suit the end walls, back wall, and ceilings. There is Tyvek wrap on all the walls as seen in the picture. I was thinking of using a radiant barrier offset by 1" strips to allow the barrier to perform. Since the walls are 2x6, I was then thinking of using rolled fiberglass, made for 2"x4"s covered by the OSB. I'd like to finish the ceiling with something like corrugated metal roofing panels with blown-in insulation or possibly a foam board under panels. I would like to use a Quiet Cool garage fan to pull hot air out of the shop and out the 2 14"x16" gable ends.
Please see attached photos. The garage doors are photoshopped in as Tuff Shed's garage installation company is taking forever to get in the parts. They should have ordered 4 months ago when I paid for the shop.
Thanks in advance for any assistance in helping me with my insulation choice.
