insulation covering

what do you call that white padding they put over the insulation of a steel building? I just used steel straps to hold my insulation, but I'm thinking about going back and covering it with that stuff.

My insulation was installed after the building was built, so I had to do it differently, but I still think I can put that white covering over it. I just can't find the name.

The buildings I have done the white vinyl was the facing of the insulation. It was not a separate product

You may be thinking of Tyvek Housewrap, though that isn’t padding

That **** rips after a while. I just want something to keep the dust and little pieces from falling down.

Hmm, I never knew there was a product to go over the insulation. I hate steel buildings so I guess I was unaware of this.

Is that your building or someone elses? I don't understand what that stuff is supposed to do. Those beams are like 8" wide and it looks like it only has like 2" of insulation.

I need to cover it with something. Looks like tyvek has several options I could use. I don't think it's safe health wise just leaving it exposed. Nobody wanted to retrofit the building. They only wanted to do spray foam, so I insulated the building myself with Rockwool.
