Insulation in Florida

We are having a prefab metal building being installed next week. The builder is Eversafe Buildings. The specs are 28X30, 12' walls with a Boxed Eave Style 3:12 pitched roof.
The frame is 2 1/4 X 2 1/4 square tube (i believe. Plans are at the jobsite)

Looking for a good insulation for hot and humid FL. Will probably air condition the building next spring

Is that style of building engineered w sufficient strength for the area you are in?

And, to invest $ improvements ?

Florida to me = Hurricanes.

Just asking.. but by your description.. I have not seen that type of construction used much for a "permanent" structure.

More like "Car Ports"

Sure, some have done it.. but just doesn't seem prudent to me.

According to the builder's website they can supply buildings that are certified for a particular area's wind codes.

Perhaps it would be best for you to deal directly with the building manufacturer- I'm sure this is something they offer. How much space you actually condition- partition walls(?), ceiling, and how, will also be determining factors.

Oh, and, I don't care how it's constructed because you didn't ask if it was right or not- there's code requirements for that, and I'm sure the manufacturer has already established that for you.

I will have to look at the plans tomorrow to get proper specs. I was just going off website since i don't have them in front of me.
Building is 150mph wind rated and meets Florida building code.

Most of these buildings are glorified carports totally enclosed.

Does the metal side ribs on the roof and side run horizontal instead of vertical? Does the building just sit on a slab or does the wall covering over hang the edge of the slab?

If horizontal ribs and sit on top of the slab good luck keeping the water out. Only real solution is xps foam panels insert between the post. Hope you don't want to keep it conditioned 24/7 as it will be expensive.
