I see the problem: they wrapped the wire the wrong way around the screw. :lol_hitti

They did two things right:
1 - Used a red insulated wire for it to be photogenic.
2 - Used solid wire as stranded is way too hard to get under a drywall screw head.

I recall this picture popping up here a couple of years ago. It kind of comes around like the "Hazard Fraught Tools" flyers. And I remember someone pointing this out last time. Good eye. ;)

correct. with that application, you would need to use a worm clamp around the wire and screw to ensure good contact...:lol_hitti

LMAO. That's a new one.

Not if you used a ringed sta-kon

That would only be appropriate if the red wire were stranded.

That's the disconnect.

That photo has been posted on a lot of of forums including foreign ones. That is a hackmaster listed AL/CU connection. Would have liked to see what the whole panel looked like.

The homeowner asked Biff the contractor he hired to do some things around the house, that he wanted to tap into his electrical panel and add a new circuit for some lights in the basement. So Biff said sure, I can be doin' dat fer ya.

So he did...

Every time someone posts a picture of my wiring job people make fun of me, I just don't understand why? I had to do this because the breaker kept tripping, this fixed the problem completely!
