Insulation smell ?

Hung some "Pink" fiberglass insulation today and boy I couldn't figure what smelled . Its the insulation, like pee ? Anyone else found this or did I get a free mouse nest with mine ?

I was putting up new out of the bag stuff today.. not pink but yes i smelled piss once and a while..

Pretty much any time it gets wet it reeks of pee. Even without getting wet it will sometimes smell that way. Just it's natural scent.

Formaldehyde - some fiberglass insulation is formaldehyde-free, but most contains some amount that offgasses during installation.

If it smells like women parts gone bad get rid of it for some new stuff. Once its wet its no good

Its dry. New out of the bag , was open some on one end ? But I saw no color change or felt any moisture.

For some reason animals seem to like relieving themselves on it. If it smells get rid of it.

Believe it or not, even the formaldehyde free stuff contains some formaldehyde.

There are also glues to hold the kraft paper and fibers together. Fiberglass *****, through it away!
