Insulation Stops for Pole Building

Next project is trying to figure out how to make insulation stops to go on top of wall to celing. I have a pole building, trusses are 4 foot centers.

I was thinking about buying the styro foam ones from hardware store that are two feet wide and just using two together?

What has everyone done for this?

I put osb sheeting there. My posts are 9 foot on center so I ripped some 9ft sheets and nailed to uppermost pirlin. Hope that makes sense.

Makes perfect sense oilslick, thought that also, was wondering about using rigid insulation as well. Just not getting a lot of feedback. Four foot center center 60 feet loog=lots of work at 16 feet walls. Bad back now also

This what I'm going to use, you need to block off the top off the wall opening as well.

I'm not sure where I found the price but I think it was only a couple of bucks per unit.

My spray foam contractor just uses cardboard stapled to the pulins, and then spray foams them in place.

thanks kevin! Are you going to use two side by side? This would cover the 4 foot spacing?

I'm using the ones from HD.

They recently changed them and they are better.they are pre-creased.

4' between trusses also.

Using two is no problem.

I'm going to the cross purlins with them.

You can see them in this pic,on top of the roll of insulation. I did some install tests but no pics.

mine were on 9' centers, i had a friend bend galvanized ductwork sheetmetal and cut them in and sealed them with silicone. PITA

I'm going to end up placing a row of batts along the soffits to prevent blown in from blocking the soffit vents. My trusses are 12' on center and I have basicle continuous soffit venting plus a ridge vent.

Thanks everyone, now more ideas, kinda stuck on using rigid XPS, just for ease of work, would there be enough airflow if i went tight to the top of first roof strap. The only airflow from soffit would be through the corrugations in the metal?? I dunno?

If you don't insulate the metal roof......it will rain inside !

Personally for me, I wouldnt rely on just that small opening.

Arent the rigid panels a lot more $ than the corugated ones and heavier to handle?

Yeah those ones from homedepot would be great (Two hours away). I have a bunch of 2 inch xps left over from the floor and outside perimeter. I have a bunch of 3/4 inch plywood but lots of work.

Think I better look at those ones from Home depot.

Just trying to bet my back to cooperate.
