Building a 20x24 room in the back corner of my pole barn. I am wanting the barn look on the inside of the room with corrugated metal on walls and ceiling. Do you think I can just insulate and put the corrugated up or do I need to have insulation, OSB and then the steel. Reason I'm mostly concerned is i'm trying to heat it during the winter as I live in Mi. thanks for your opinions!

If you're not mounting things to the wall (or can manage on stud support alone) then the board is redundant IMO.

Make sure your vapour/air barrier is where it needs to be... metal can be a condensation point. Moisture and OSB don't play nice either.

Yes you can put directly on the girts after insulation. I would personally put up a heavy layer of visqueen with taped seams first to limit air. Corrugated tin allows air flow up the back side from bottom up. That is not bad as it helps keep moisture from being trapped behind it. The visqueen keeps air currents going thru the wall and down the corrugations and out on the floor.
