Need help. Any people made this decision before ?
I am struggling with the idea of fitting insulation underneath the actual scissor lifts. I am having underfloor heating in the garage workshop all the slab area is insulated. Should i put insulation under the actual scissor lifts ???

I have a scissor lift recessed into my garage floor and then I porcelain tiled the whole floor. I do not have insulation under my floor at all. It is concrete on top of compressed rock, sand, wire and then a membrane between the concrete and the actual tile. But if you are able to insulate under the lift, why not? It's not that large of an area so cost should be minimal. I do not believe it could hurt. Have fun and enjoy the lift- I do.

Thanks for you comments. I am unsure whether or not the insulation would take the load. The rest of the slab will have a visqueen barrier. 100mm insulation. Rebar reinforcing with underfloor heating pipes cable tied to the rebar. then 100mm concrete.I am thinking of leaving out the insulation under the lift.
