I have a Craftsman screwdriver with four interchangeable tips (p1/3/16 and p2/1/4) that I keep in my desk at work and often take with m on photo shoots, etc. It's really handy and the tips are good quality but the handle *****. I've had to replace it at sears two or three times now. Does anybody know of a quality alternative?

Not really, seems kinda gimmicky to me but maybe I just haven't had a chance to use one.

I saw a wera set that looked cool, but I also like the idea of one that uses STD. 1/4 in bits. It's a tool that gets more use than it should.

I know Klein gets a bad rap around here at times, but I have a 10 or 11 in 1 screwdriver that is currently my favorite interchangeable screwdriver. The lettering has worn off the handle, but everything is still fine and the tips are holding up well.

We sell lots of the MegaPro drivers...

Also PicQuic. Megapro is what I use in the boat and home...

For the garage, I have a Ratcheting SO that I wouldnt trade for anything. I really like the SO Phillips bits that are for installation and for removal... anti camout, can't be beat!

I hate the ratcheting scredrivers, every one I've ever used started ratcheting the wrong direction on me when the selector button get's bumped.
I currently hava and use a kd screwdriver with a hollow handle for bit storage.
The magna tip from brownells is also pretty nice set up I hear

...and you'll be a happy man.

With this setup, you can also use a ratchet if necessary, or use this as an extra extension.

This is what I have for interchangeable drivers:

If you're gonna have a bunch of decent 1/4" bits laying around, you may as well get some ratcheting drivers too.

Are there phillips bits that are for something other than instillation and removal? Just curious. :bounce:

I just LOVE the PB Swiss one but the price takes my breath away. PB swiss seems awfully expensive to me - and i'm not just being cheap. I think the prices just went up or something.

I'd second that motion. Got one from the crib at work and it's my favorite screwdriver.

Me too but it's $84.51

Want to pick me one up in Germany and send it over??? With the Euro what it is right now I should save a bundle.

it`s available in germany for 59.95 € ... not really cheaper... ($73.-) plus s+h...
