Interesting bolt

I found a box of these at Restore for a couple of bucks. Does anyone know what they were originally intended for? In addition to the pointy tip, the threads are having an interesting pattern.

Those are lags used for anchoring such things as lamp brackets and cross arm brackets to power poles. They’re usually hammered in with a BFH. The heads are square for easy removal.
