Issue is they're not reversable.

They whole idea to me is the ratchet end offset from the centerline. Which is cool, but you can't remove AND reinstall a fastener. You'd need to flip the wrench over to do so, which would move the offset in the other direction.

I thought these were cool, but I can't see them adding value to the other 20 sets of metric wrenches I have.

I don’t see anything innovative or even interesting. A minor variation of common types.

The offset issue occurred to me as I pondered them more. Flipping them changes the entire equation. Good call. I'm not hawking them. Just putting it up there for others that may not see it otherwise.

I'm ALWAYS interested in VIM and what they have to offer. Major innovator. They're on my list of "go on their site regularly" brands.

I think this design has promise, just not quite yet.

My opinion. If it's not reversible it's ****. I make an exception for the flex head models as they do have their place but the straight ratcheting wrenches that aren't reversible I don't like at all. KABO's reversible flex heads are the bomb and everybody should make them this way.

VIM is a buyer; not a manufacturer...as far as I'm aware they haven't in the last decade.

These ratcheting wrenches have been available in Taiwan for 2 or years now. They have different styles/configurations.
Probably just a matter of time before VIM imports the different styles .... unless they find quality/performance issues or not enough sales.

I should add the * Vim is a major buyer of innovative products.

Vim does sell some neat stuff. But both these and the "finger" ratcheting wrenches they released recently seem to show that they're just looking for stuff that's "different" to sell, something new for the catalog (and I understand); but it doesn't really seem to offer anything that's truly useful. Yeah, you can dream up a situation where they might be useful, but in the real world.... I think this shows that we're at "peak tool" and that it's just very difficult to come up with that next amazing product that is truly revolutionary and extremely useful- like the plier wrench.
