Interesting early vise

There are a few of these on Facebook & Offerup I've seen lately. I don't remember where they are from.

It's a cool looking vise. Agree with wrench guy about being marketed to the farmer that needed an anvil and vise. I wish I see them come up in my area for $7!

Love the style in the tooling from the turn of the 19th century. The issue for me is the cast can be a bit brittle if you want it as a user.

As interesting looking as they are, they are neither a good anvil or a good vise.

The same vise has been sitting at the local antique shop for the last 4 years. Same price too. There does not seem to be much of demand for them at 150 bucks.
