They've been talked about before. You can get a CD rack for about $8.00 from WalMart, cut it in half lengthwise with a cuttoff wheel, trim it to fit your tool box drawer of choice, and you'll have at least two plier racks. You can also trim the CD rack to fit shallower drawers.

Agreed, at $30, it it wildly overpriced. The idea is good, but the tradeoff is it requires a much deeper drawer than storing them flat.

Looks something like a plate holder that you use to dry plates after you wash them.

Only one problem how are you gonna know which pliers are what? They are laying on thier sides. I like mine laying down (sunny side up) so I know which one I need. And like mentioned above you need a deep drawer.

I have one in mine and it's great. You go from pliers on top of pliers on top of pliers to just a long, well organized row of pliers and extra space for specialty pliers. I don't see how a cd rack would work as well since the plier organizer has differently spaced bars in it that fit pliers with fatter grips on them that won't fit in the thinner bars. It can humble you a bit when you actually organize your over-crowded pliers drawer and afterwards your drawer looks empty making you want to buy more and more pliers. They're also still easily seen so there's no mistaking which is which or not being able to see one of them. When you use one it really suprises you.

Bought a cd rack at an auction for a buck. I'll post a pic when I get it done.

As far as neediing a deeper drawer, that's true, but it won't take up as much floor space.

I love those racks, it is definitely a time saver when your looking for pliers. I have them in the front and back of the drawers.

I spent $24 on the tool truck for mine, I can't explain how much better it made me feel to get rid of the embarrassment that was my pliers drawer, and I have had lots of compliments since implementing this organizer.

Yes, you do need a deep drawer, and spring loaded pliers are a pain if not impossible to store.
