Over the school holidays i have decided to clean the garage. I came across my grand dads old tool box full of old spanners. One i am very interested in was the ford wrench. Can you tell me a bit about these please ? I am in new zealand so these tools are very new and interesting to me

You on the bottom side of the world have different names for things, lol. Those to some of us are end wrenches, spanners have pins that fit in notches or holes on the perimeter of a nut.
Anyway, nice find!

The wrench in the 9th picture has an international harvester logo on it. Some of those are really collectable.

Electrolysis would be a good method for those.

It's not them who name things differently, but rather your part of the pond who tends to. :D

Your fourth picture (size marked with a "W" under the 7/16) is a Whitworth size. It is one of the old british oddball size schemes. won't fit anything but a Whitworth sized bolt.
