What puzzles me is if you are going to broach the wrench at a consistent offset angle, why do 0 degrees instead of 7.5 degrees for a 12 point wrench? There is no cost difference. Now if you are not going to do a consistent offset angle, I might be able to understand it. If my Mfg Engineer did time motion studies and concluded that I could save 2 seconds of broaching time per wrench by not having a consistent offset angle, It might be worth it. But after watching the videos of Snap-on broaching wrenches, I doubt there is much of a time savings except for setup.

As for it not making a difference on wrenches that are not a flat box end style, I have see it make a difference. But for 99.99% of the uses, probably not.

Wow. If that doesn't turn me off to snap-on, not sure what will. Sell your wares by touting its own strengths, not by bad-mouthing the competition. Unethical.
I guess you haven't followed Snap On, comparing and running down the competition is their schtick, been doing it as long as I can remember.

To their defense (a little), I think they do feel duty bound to show people specifically what the differences are that the consumers are paying for.

When you're claiming to make the best tools you need to show people what sets them apart from the rest. People pay a fortune for Snap On, so they expect them to back up their claims. I don't see anything wrong with it as long as they've fairly represented the other brands. Even if it's trivial, it's still attention to detail.

I love my snap on wrenches and screwdrivers, best I've ever owned. Real torn whether to keep them on my service van or leave them at home. I doubt they'd get replaced with the same brand if my van ever gets stolen...
