Found this set on marketplace, $9 for the set($45 for shipping). Thought the design was interesting though so I tried looking it up elsewhere and found nothing beyond a page saying the brand, Hetong, hasn't been active in 11 years.

Anybody have any opinion on the design/seen the same design before? Looks kinda like the torque wrench handles that can take different heads, 1/2 drive to 7/8 box end etc., to me.

Blackhawk had something similar a few years back with a longer handle that was discontinued. The pictured set is listed on Amazon for around $35 with free shipping under many brands with or without the bits. It could be handy depending on what you work on. My main complaint with it is that there's no 15 or 18mm sizes

I see clearance as the issue. Sockets will be slimmer around the fastener. That's like trying to use a ratcheting wrench head in ever scenario.

Please Trim your screenshots. Spent close to a minute trying to close the overlay, just to realize that the X was part of the image. :lol_hitti

Some torque wrenches use head inserts similar to those in the set you are showing. Hazet, Wera, Stahlwille, and Gedore offers them.

Sorry about that, was going to clean them up but it was almost 3am when I found it and resolution dropped too much for some reason. Kept going 144p mode.

I seen a gear wrench torque wrench set that looks like it's the same design inserts but with an actual 3/8 ratchet head and some open ends.

In my experience, these "all in one" tools are the Christmas stocking stuffers for non-serious mechanics. Yeah, I'm sure you'll be able to find the ONE application where the flexibility made this the go-to tool, but in 99.99% of the time, the multiple joints usually result in the head flopping out of position just as you snake it into the limited space available. I've got short and long sockets in six and twelve point, enough extensions to reach to the moon, straight and offset box end wrenches, and straight and offset ratcheting box end wrenches. There's always something that fits.

That's a very good point!

I am embarrassed that I bought an expensive set of Tite-Reach chain drive extensions. I was sure they would be very useful BUT I have NEVER found a job that required it? So just an impulse purchase on my part and they are NOT cheap either!

Tite-Reach Extensions

I liked how they looked but found I could use my other wrenches just fine. So it sits in the box as an expensive $120+ purchase. Nice quality tool so no complaints there.

Has anyone found a special use for these? That could not be handled by using your existing tools?

At least you didn’t buy the Snap-On version!

If it wasn't index-able I would agree but indexing makes it seem pretty cool, do they making indexing ratcheting wrenches?
