Picked up a few interesting (and old) tools today, thought I would share.

First may not be too old, but its one I don't think I have ever seen. Its a XL length Craftsman combination 3/8-7/16" wrench, no idea how old it is. I didn't know Craftsman ever offered this style wrench, especially in this length (you can see how long it is compared with the 1/2-9/16" double box).

Next is a neat KMart/Made in Japan metric set, complete with metal case. I've seen these sets before, but its getting harder to find them complete. Everything (with exception of the plastic thumbwheel) is marked "KMart" or "Japan". Not a bad set!

Last is an older Stanley set of what I assume are brace bits/auger bits. Set is a Stanley No 127A, and looks to almost be brand new (I can only tell that one bit has actually been used). It would be interesting to see how old this set is, I can only guess 70's.

That long Craftsman wrench is a tappet wrench for adjusting engine valves. The Kmart sockets were a nicely made set of sockets for Kmart. I've had a few of them in the past.

Interesting.

Now, I need to find an old brace/drill to go with the auger bits.

^ yeah.. the Craftsman is a tappet wrench. a lot of them were made like that - super-long - Herbrand made some that were at least that long as well.
that Kmart set looks familiar - was that the one that was listed on Ebay about a week back?

I'm curious as to how long both wrenches are?

Craftsman recently had a 5pc tappet wrench set that was long and thin. They also sold at one time a 3pc stubby double box end set.

Its possible. I bought it from a shop with a bunch of other stuff, and they did tell me one of the items was posted on eBay.
