I was down at the hazardous waste yard when I ran across some used Milwaukee batteries and a few cases of brand new in box M28 copies made by a GE Healthcare company. Copies down to the fittings and contacts. Military issue NSN 6515-01-595-5282. Same specs, same voltage. Blood Warmer batteries, believe it or not. GE probably modified a warming vest for this application.

Who knew that knowledge from this board would carry over to a HW yard in Afghanistan...

Wow! I was JUST sitting in the local coffee shop chatting w a guy who had been tinkering w designing a blood warmer for backcountry/avalanche situations. Sounds like he was just doing this as a garage inventor, and stalled out because he was having trouble finding a power pack powerful but small enough. I mentioned to him how potent the lithium jumper packs have become, with some fitting in your pocket.

But I clicked on this as someone who still uses and enjoys the M28 tools.
