^ makes perfect sense when we've got three examples all showing evidence that they were cobbled together with whatever stock they had on hand.

Hey guys, just saw one of the socket driver sets on Ebay and, while trying to figure out it was an American production, stumbled upon this thread. Cool little gizmo and think I'm gonna pick one up. In the meantime, this Standard Pressed Steel company, did they make wrenches? I just got one a few days ago, labeled "standard" and I'm trying to figure out the manufacturer.

^ I do not believe they made wrenches, and I'm leaning more toward Private Lugnutz's belief they probably didn't make the sockets either.

The only wrenches I am aware they made were hex keys branded UNBRAKO to match their hex screws.
I just received a gallon ziplock bag full of hex keys. Filtered everything USA out of it and found several UNBRAKOs. Thanks so much for providing the info on the parent company/ manufacturer...saves me a lot of research.

Picked up a Hallowell driver last weekend. Only reason I knew of them is @bmwrd0 sent me one in a tool swap a year or three ago. This one rattled when I picked it up, so a good sign, but is much smaller (4-9/16 OAL), taking 3/16" shank hex bits. 3 hex bits 1/16, 1/8, 5/32, one flathead screwdriver at 1/4" width. Don't see this size specifically in the list in post #1. Wonder if it is the Auto Kit, minus a lot
