Interesting Vise: Homemade?

I saw this in an ad for an upcoming Estate Sale here in Chicago. Anyone seen one like this before. I don't think I'll be able to make the sale so I figured I would post this up. (Also, I would probably get a divorce if I brought anything else home.)
