Yea, the fire bricks didn't resonate with me either, I thought the drain grate was interesting, and the "scrap bin" as well.

It would really be for Oxy fuel welding, or Oxy Acetylene welding. Cut over the grates and weld on the bricks. With Oxy welding you don't want to transfer all the heat to a metal table so they use fire bricks.

And the grate is good not only for cutting, but for positioning parts for welding, where you can clamp parts to the table, with C-clamps in-between the grate sections.

Nice table and bargain price as well.

^^^ I agree. I keep a dozen fire bricks in a milk crate and bring them for this reason when I need them.

We both agree with woodgate. That IS a nice little table and I wouldn't hesitate at $90. I like your Jeep btw.
