Nice setup for a small shop. I'd switch the fire bricks out for a flat steel top.
With Oxy welding you don't want to transfer all the heat to a metal table so they use fire bricks.
^^^ I agree. I keep a dozen fire bricks in a milk crate and bring them for this reason when I need them.It would really be for Oxy fuel welding, or Oxy Acetylene welding. We both agree with woodgate. That IS a nice little table and I wouldn't hesitate at $90. I like your Jeep btw.This ^^^ absolutely.
And the grate is good not only for cutting, but for positioning parts for welding, where you can clamp parts to the table, with C-clamps in-between the grate sections.
Nice table and bargain price as well.
