Really? Why? bit over the top IMO for a work bench. I just don't see the point. Shipping must cost a boat load. I don't even want to know how much it weighs. It doesn't look like $7500 in steel to me :p

Doesn't look anywhere near $7500 to me either. A lot of work and materials went into it but it's like an old car, the restoration work is usually a lot more than the value of the car.

It's ok, but I'm just not seeing the price in this one. It also makes no sense in a "show" garage, because if I was paying 7500 for a bench, I would have it custom made to the garage...

Why does it say Ferrari and Porsche in the title?

For that money I'd like my welds to look a little better.

Also, the circular hole looks rough and the rivets on the plate are not formed the best.

Like beauty, value is in the eye of the beholder. This obviously is meant as art, as utility requires more than two drawers and a work surface with a vise. I like it, and in as much as I’ve never ever wasted any money in my 66 years on this earth, this would be my first time. (if I had the money)

Admit it or not, if any of us owned this object we would ask more than $7500.00 for it in the classifieds.
Want proof? Look what some people want for a pink screwdriver. The only difference is that most of us can afford a pink screwdriver (thus it’s utility) but few can afford this bench. Pink screwdrivers work no better nor worse than a regular black handled one.

The only thing snap on is the middle box that is inserted into the table. This is another jackass on eBay making it tougher on the sellers who do not try to shyster the general buying public into making them think it is snap on. And where the F*&K is the ferrari and porsche? It is just like the jack asses that sell made in china tools that put snap rail on and have that **** show up under snap on search. Besides that the damn thing is not worth 500 much less 7500!

You guys can knock it, I really like the design... I'm going to have to start scrounging some I-beams. As for the build quality - it's made in america and a prototype; was likely a quick n dirty - knock it out so we can show them something real, not a drawing...

Yeah I have too much scottish blood to be paying 7500 bucks for it too :)

It's not for me, but I'll admit that there is some "cool factor" in the design. Functionality and value are compromised in favor of artistic impression.

$256.00 Final Price

That was the final price but the reserve wasn't met. Nobody gets it.

One thing I don't get with people, your asking $7500 for this thing and you don't even have the sense to spell check your listing. If the guy doesn't take the 30 seconds to spell check and make sure he doesn't look like an idiot, where else has he cut corners on his beautiful bench?

Makes a person look stupid when they have mis-spellings in their listings.

Alright my rant is over. Sorry!

Mm

People that judge intelligence based on one's ability to spell and use correct grammar are ignorant. I could be wrong but it looks like you made a paragraph with two run on sentences. I have a feeling most of the people on this site have problems with spelling and grammar...

It just seems to me if you are asking that much money for something, you try as hard as you can to make yourself look as good as you can. How hard is it to look over your listing and make sure everything looks right?

I agree with you. I don't think it is done on purpose though. The guy may not even know there is anything wrong with it. To be honest I don't really see what is wrong with his listing. It doesn't look like a professional salesman wrote it or anything.

They say 1 in 5 people are dyslexia to some degree. Dyslexic people learn to work around their handicap. In some cases this makes them much better at doing other things in order to get around what they can't do. They also say dyslexia is related to artistic creativity. The odds are this guy could very easily have a trouble with spelling and writing and has no clue there is anything wrong with his listing. Some people debate Einstein was dyslexic.

Just saying.

Decent idea poor execution!

My son is 8 and can weld better then that. Price is not even close! If a person is going to build something to sell and they want to charge highend prices the work must be over the top. check out the holes cut into the I beams, not smooth at all.
Sorry
