Getting ready to order metal to finish my barn and I have a few Questions.
1. My post frame is 30x48x12. Front and back longwalls are 8ft centers and side walls are 10 ft centers. Can I just get 8 and 10ft studs and scab them inbetween by posts every 2ft horizontal to screw my metal too or do I need furring strips?
2. Will the weight of the studs vs furring strips matter as far as the load, extra weight?
3. My Barn has commercial trusses. what would be best to frame the cieling to hold the metal, 2x4's or 1x3 furring strips
