I ran a 1 by along the floor and a 90 degree bend piece under that 1 by. the 90 measured 3/4" x 3/4". Then I ran a double 90 with a hem over the top of it. The metal then set on the top of the double 90, which was on top of the 1 by. Hope that helps.
Wherever you typically buy your metal panels, they should have a catalog or wall chart that shows how to trim it out. They are always multiple trims for a situation.
I believe the stuff I used was called D channel. Basically holds the wall panel up about 3/4" or 1" up off floor, but it also leave same amount of space between bottom of wall and trim.
