I'd like to put a corrugated metal up from my floor several feet, and then transition into 1/2" OSB. I'm trying to figure out the best way to trim the transition. Should I put a J-channel inbetween or I was thinking of cutting a rabbet joint in a piece of wood trim to cover the top of the metal? Or is there a better way? What do I put on the floor where the metal touches, J channel?

I sort of like that idea, but I'd make sure to only use the minimal width required so as to not take up any more space that necessary. I'd imagine you could just rabbit a 2" or 3" strip ripped from some lumber, fastened to the wall. You could then put another strip of something on top to be a transition from the top "trim board" and the OSB. Sounds like a nice touch. I'll be curious what you end up with.

Z trim may be a way to go. That would keep the top of the metal covered nicley while using minimal depth

I have plywood on the bottom and metal on the top. They used the proper trim(not sure if J or Z) to cover the metal and it worked very well. Looks great!
