The next phase of my build is walls and ceiling. I'm just looking to see what you all did for interior walls, metal, plywood or whatever and what paint schemes you all came up with.

OSB walls and ceiling. Zinser primer followed up with Olympic silver-gray semi gloss latex paint with blue/white striping. As you can see I added on to the original garage and still need to finish the floor.

My large stick built shop walls were covered with 5/8" fire code drywall and painted like any home would be, but I also used semi-gloss off-white paint. This allows for easy cleaning when I need to blow off dust in my woodworking bay and helps with more efficient lighting throughout.

How did you hide the wall seams. I see the ceiling has battens

Drywall on ceilings and walls, primed and painted all white. I used to have maroon walls and black ceiling but I thought I'd change it up for awhile.

I hung the sheets vertical vs. horizontal. By doing this you eliminate the **** end seam. You must hang the first sheet straight use a chalkline or level. (don't assume the corner were you begin is straight). The rest of the sheets will **** up nice and tight to each other with very little or no gap. If you have any voids just caulk them and paint. For electrical outlets used a "T" square. BTW I used to hang & finish drywall as well as finish plaster in the family business so it was no big deal.

Kev, do you have anymore pictures of the metal you have on the lower portion of the wall? I was looking into something like that as well.

what kind of lights are those?
Not sure. Square leds that light up instantly and throw a **** ton of light without hurting your eyes or making you squint. One of my favorite things about my garage honestly, and the sparky talked me into em when I was doubtful. They're totally sealed too so no bugs can get in em. Sparky said if theres a bug in there to call him and he'll come clean em out personally.

Ill see if i can climb up there an check the brand... Theyre 200 bucks apiece i know that

I'll play!. I went with white corrugated steel wainscoting 4' or so up from the floor , then tongue and groove pine on the walls followed by a white corrugated steel ceiling to match the lower steel. Pine was simply to break the two up as I didn't want a completely white shop.. plus I like the "country" feel in my home. Lot's of other pics in my build thread! Cheers! http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=306497

Prior to this forum years ago I would have never thought of painting the garage... now it's considered a finished room as any other room in the house.

Did my town house the standard gray/white/red. All semi gloss. Gibraltar Gray for the lower portion, Fireworks red for the stripe and, Pure white for the top. All Sherwin Williams paints.

The house we are at now I changed it up a little. Still using the same exact colors just decided to do the stripe a little differently.
Both garages were finished drywall.
