Hey guys, wrapping up the finishing touches on our garage addition. Garage is basement level with 2 sets of steps with a landing going upstairs into the house. Trying to decide on a good finish for the steps that will hold up with the everyday foot traffic. They are currently basic wood step treads. Carpet is definitely out and not really interested in staining them as I'm not sure how well it would hold up. Painted the steps at my old house but they looked like **** in no time and don't really want to mess with repainting them constantly. Open to suggestions as well as pics of how you all finished your steps. Thanks.

What about inexpensive color coordinated vinyl stair treads? They are available online.

I've been eyeing up some rubberized step treads at Menards I was thinking about getting. Thought about doing those for the step tread and then painting the front of the step the same color as my lower color on the walls to tie in.
