Complete garage rebuild in planning phase. What have some of you done for interior finishing? This will be a bottom-up build, so starting with a clean slate. Walls will be 10' tall 2x6 with faced fiberglass insulation and then a layer of poly sheet over as vapor barrier on the inside (I think, still learning). I'd like to end with a finished appearance rather than stop there. Looking for ideas and especially photo samples. I'm mostly against drywall, looking for something a little snazzier. Ex: half bright galvanized corrugated steel paneling? Other? Same with ceiling, will be 13' up.
I'm somewhat currently going down the path of 1900's look faux brick paneling, and then run all of my electrical and compressed air hard piping as painted flat black on the surface and not recessed. Paint a near-full-scale image of a locomotive front on the back wall, install a real headlamp from one with pilot lighting discreetly in it. Have real loco number plates to put in place with lights behind them as well.
If there is a thread of such already, apology, please direct.
