So I have finally finished the interior walls with the exception of the area above my garage doors. So right now just studs and insulation. I am guessing with the tracks and spring there isn't a lot of clearance there. What have you done to finish the area above your doors? I may be over thinking this problem. Thanks!

I scored a great mural at an auction a few years back, gonna hang that over the double door.
An assortment of smaller car art from the same auction over the single door.

I still have that left on my garage - the rest is all drywall. When I get around to it I'm just going to paint some 3/8 plywood white and put that up behind the spring and all.

Above my garage doors is drywall and a six count of 3 rung lumber racks spaced 2-3 feet apart for storage of thin long things.

Not sure exactly what part you are talking about but if it is where the springs mount mine is just the garage door header that the springs are bolted to. I suppose I should paint it one of these days lol :) :)

How about a picture of yours ??

Mine was dry walled by the builder. Wall space is at a premium in my garage so I have installed wooden strips to allow some flexibility to hang my woodworking jigs, sliding tables etc.

Not the most convenient storage but gotta make the best of what I have
