I have a 40 x 56 steel building that was built with 14 foot ceilings. I have just finished having the floor put in which is concrete with radiant heat.

I am now looking to finish off the interior walls but have not decided on how to do it.

I would like the bottom 4 feet to be something water resistant so I can wash vehicles and sled in the winter (I'm in Rochester, NY).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance.

Look at those sheets of vinyl at Lowes that they put in Showers... they are 4x8 and can be screwed on... You can caulk at the bottom and in between the sheets also to seal ...then above that use that thin shiny board, like dry erase board also found at Lowes... it is what I have in my attached garage,,,

I used metal siding attached same as the outdoor sheeting. My building had 4' on center girts, so I screwed 8' sheets at the bottom, middle and top. I used white sheets so I didn't have to prime and paint either.

You talking about Fiberglass Reinforced Paneling? Good stuff but not cheap at all. I used it in a toyhauler renovation, was round $35 a sheet plus trim.

Are you already insulated? and how are you planning to attach the panels or what ever to the walls, most metal building I have seen have quite a span between the posts.

All great ideas thank you.

I have run 2 x 4s between the posts with 2 foot centers for the insulation and am going to attach whatever I decide to use on the walls for that.
