Interlocking tiles on stairs?

Just finished my racedeck floor and love it!! I've been debating whether to tile or apply some other coverage to a 4ftx4ft stoop we have going into our home from the garage. Right now I just have some indoor/outdoor carpet stapled to the osb underneath.

Has anyone ever installed interlocking tiles on steps? I'm particularly interested if they have, how they installed the 'riser' part of the step. In my case, it would only be one simple riser, approximately 4ft long.

Never done it, but I would guess it should not be that difficult to glue them to the steps/riser. Or perhaps even better yet, you should be able to use a pneumatic stapler/staples to staple them just as you did with the carpet?

I'd make sure to put some type of edging on the tread. You don't want to walking up catch the edge of the tile, flip it up and trip over it.
