Interlocking tiles over concrete in basement

I want to use interlocking tiles to finish my basment floor. These would go over the concrete. Do I need to place anything under the tiles as an underlayment? What would be an inexpensive brand of these tiles to use (I don't want to spend a lot of money for the fancy ones).

I've been recently researching this as well and it seems customary to put a vapor barrier down if you plan on adding anything on top of the rubber tiles that could foster mold growth due to moisture (like carpet, wood, etc.)

If it's just to put a floor down for a gym or something, I don't think it's needed, but it's also not that expensive.

I want to put them in a kids' rec room, a laundry room and a shop area. I didn't plan to put anything over them, but in the kids' rec area, I was looking for some interlocking tiles that are like a foam that would provide some "give" if the kids were to run and jump around in the room.
