SK1NN3R - I bought the VRB4211 last July, and so far I love it. One thing I will mention, is that it pays to look around, because a number of these companies carry International SPG boxes as online exclusives, so the sales change in comparison to the rest of the products that are on the sales floor.
As a general review:
Paint job is pretty much excellent, I think I found one spot that was a little rough down by one of the corners, but it wasn't enough to warrant any complaints. The aluminium trim is held fast, but it's a little uneven with the rest of the box at the base, again all cosmetic.
Given that you are looking at the top/bottom combo, I am going to assume the box is more or less going to stay stationary? Regardless, I did take the time to upgrade the mounting hardware for the casters. The original hardware is basically a set of beefed up self tapping screws, so in other words it's junk. the holes are all there so that's fine and dandy, but I upped the anti with a set of Grade 5 bolts, lock nuts and nuts. Definitely glad I did, though I never gave the original hardware a chance.
I'd still like to see them upgrade the wide drawer up top to include double slides. I can't imagine actually loading mine to the point where it would be needed exactly, but it would give me a little added margin of error in the event that something were to go awry.
Casters:
Better than on my c-man box, but that's not saying much. I believe they are 4" casters, but it's basically a slight upgrade from the **** ones on my C-man box. Like I said before though, if it's not going to see much movement, I wouldn't worry. I push mine around a bit and haven't really noticed much issue.
One thing I will note, is that either my floor is a little wonky, or the box is a tad bit out of square. it does seem to me that the wheel on the back of the box at the short drawer end (the right rear) is off the ground, but that could be my concrete. Being the 42" model, the guy who delivered it, basically slid it out of the back of a small cube van and stood it on end in my driveway. I was a little miffed, but I digress.
Drawers:
I really have no complaints here, they all slide nice and smooth, and feel like they could take significant weight without much issue. The wide top drawer uses a rolled edge that you can feel along the front, and it hasn't flexed at all so far as I can tell. The only thing to mention is that even with the 42", the drawer doesn't always like it if you push from too far one side or the other.
Overall impression as a home owner box is excellent. I have seen the same box that I have in at least one or two local shops, and though they are older models, they seem like they have held up to the abuse of a shop arena.
