I thought this asking price a bit preposterous, but if the tools are worth as much as claimed in this thread, maybe I ought to sit down, and be quiet......(and keep a sharper eye out in barn sales)

I'd guess it's the sign on the rack that might warrant the asking price.

I know this thread is a little old but it looked like a good place to ask a question. From the earlier posts eBay was suggested and I looked there but no boxes have sold recently.

A friend of mine is getting rid of things in her fathers workshop/shed. He passed several years ago and I think a number of people have been through the shed picking it. I was invited over last week and given pretty much anything I wanted.
Otherwise it was going for scrap her father worked at the IH dealer.

I brought home the IH Kennedy made boxes and I have some IH sockets and wrenches. I grabbed the metric box but have only found two pieces so far. I will be able to go back and see what I can find.

I was given these to use but if they have more collectible value I think my friend should get the proceeds. Is the IH stuff still selling for good money?

Where is the shop located? I'm maybe interested if it's nearby.

I'm outside of Richmond and I have pretty much anything that was left. My friend isn't interested in having anyone come to their place.
