Warranty is through Milwaukee not the seller so as long as they are an authorized retailer you are good to go

Thanks, Chris, meant an authorized retailer, reason is I just got batteries that are, based on date code more than 5 years old. So it would be good to know if they are a retailer, so it is based on sell date and not the date of manu. I know they are popular.

I think they go my production date but that wouldn't likely work well if you are receiving batteries older than that. I'd contact them with a receipt. They don't have a warranty registry like Ryobi or Rigid

I stop in their showroom from time to time, it's in Davie Florida, by the FL Turnpike and I-595. They have a big display of Red.

Louie Wild was one of the principals, quite a character. He operated another tool business locally, before allowing a merger, where he stayed associated with the business. Louie's shop, Wild Electric, sold many lines of hand tools and floor tools. He was also an authorized repair station for many brands.

Louie purposefully didn't air-condition his shop, so people wouldn't come there and hang-out. He wanted them to arrive, to spend their gelt, and to depart. No hangers-on!

I liked that you could go in there, and bargain a bit, if you were a frequent customer, or were buying alot.

Here's a shot of one wall.

A head-shot of Louie overlooks the sales counter, keeping an eye on the help.

I used to order tools from Internation Tool on a routine basis.
I never really had an issue that was their fault.
I haven’t ordered from them in a while because I started shopping more locally.
They were definately a Milwaukee dealer way back when, so ai doubt that has changed.

Normally Milwaukee warranty will be honored from the date of the purchase receipt without one yes it will be figured by serial number.

Battery warranty is 2 year compact and 3 year for XC

Really quite surprised the battery are 5 years old. Exactly what did you buy?
Where they part of a tool kit?

International Tool is very-close to an area of yacht building and marine boatyards (Marina Mile). The guys from the yachts come-in and spend $$$$ on tools, buying multiples, because in the middle of the ocean, no Amazon delivery!

The Port Everglades complex is east of the store, one of the largest ports on the East Coast, servicing both cruise ships and ocean cargo vessels. There is a huge tank farm in Port Everglades, servicing the 6+million population area. Lots of customers for International Tool.

Thanks all for the info and feedback. I bought the MIP-2667 22 M18 1/4IN R.A. IMPACT DRIV --set 2 weeks ago, was a good price, but it did not have the 4 amp hout batts as in the ad. It came with3 amp batts, even chatted to confirm the bigger batts. Other problem, to me, was the date codes on the tool and batteries were both mid 2014. Waiting about 10 days to hear back, will report news.--thanks,bros

I don't know that it matters, but if you have the little booklet that came with your tools/batteries, the warranty is described there.

For my new M12 stuff, it appears the tools have a 5 year warranty, the 4.0Ah battery has a 3 year, and the 2.0Ah battery has a 2 year.

If I received batteries that old with a new tool I'd be screaming. There is no way the tool sat on a shelf that long in a retail setting. Something smells.

To be honest I've purchased a closeout M18 Gen 1 Fuel combo kit 4ah batteries that also had an xtra battery 4ah and work light promo tossed on to sweeten the deal which had been discounted from the original $399 down to $229 for clearance. So it was around for a while.

Even the free Fuel T Shirt promo card that came with the tool set was already expired :wtf:

Like I said in my first Milwaukee will honor the warranty to the consumer from the date of purchase so keep that receipt. And it's 3 yr on M18XC battery.

I never have had a warranty service problem yet and have gone the motion numerous times now. Lots of web sites allow you to make an account when you buy so that's also often a good way to document a purchase. (For your own benefit you can use the Milwaukee online dashboard to list all your purchases too)

Being as concerned as the OP I would directly contact Milwaukee myself. I'd use the phone 1800SAWDUST never mind email :lol_hitti

Those guys are great I once called on a Sunday morning from the flea mkt because I had found an a brand new never used M18 cordless circular for sale and didn't quite know if my M18 Red Lithium batteries worked with it. They set me straight on THAT and needless to say I didn't get took on the deal.

And just MAYBE they'll send you something gratis. I have had that from reps before. And that's one of the reasons I use ACME Tool often for my OWN purchases :D

Still...as for the advertised 4.0AH batteries that's on the vendor and is not how the kit is factory packaged or listed on the Milwaukee web site. Wouldn't be the first time an advertisement was incorrectly promoted. Home Depot did that to me on a battery deal once when buying a bare tool. Pushed me off buying anything Milwaukee from them for a looong time

Talked withe the Milwaukee tech , they confirmed the battery age and said also that International is a reseller. I can send in for warranty with an order receipt, and they will load test and check if they will replace. I actually, wow, got to leave a voice message at International, but still no response, just the daily email ads, lol. Have given up the idea of getting the 4.0 batteries in the page for the 2667-22 set, but you would think they might of corrected by now.---all at this time

I finally got a call back from a David at International tool on Wednesday. He sounded like he would help, but made no promises , said he would review and get back soon. As of now, Saturday, no response. May be time to file a dispute with pay-pal. Hard to tell if it is just a string along..---will update when news.--steve

Took me somewhere between 3 or 4 months to get a second battery from them that was included in a promo they had going on. Not really impressed with International tool, best of luck but they **** imo.

So this will be the final post about international tool. I don't think they are a bad company. They have good prices. They try to help you if you can get thru to someone. I think they need more customer service people, but that's just me. I asked for newer m18 batteries and gave up on getting the 4.0 ones in their ad. Mistakes happen. I was ok with getting newer batteries that were not 5 years old. They finally sent me new ones. Problem was they were M12 , They tried. I guess I can use them. I would buy from them again, I think.
