Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum, not sure if this is the right place to post about this or not. Currently i have a 40in stacked craftsman box got it new for 55% off on sale. i can't remember how big the drawers are off hand but it is the budget model. this box worked fine for awhile until i quickly realized that it just isnt heavy duty enough to handle all the shop use that i put it through. I'm going to upgrade to a mid 50 inch model but i want the deep drawers (24in) top and bottom, so are the value boxes built as HD as a pro box just minus the quality of the bearings in the drawers?

No, International's "value" series isn't built as heavily as the "SHD" models. Not sure on the "Pro" line, which falls in between the "Value" and "SHD" series.

SHD are much heavier....more like SO and Matco but without the shinyness. Values are much thinner and lighter. Still good boxes but not pro level stuff.

Are there any other decent tool boxes out there that are heavy for under 2500 bucks? or should i be looking on craigslist for a snap on?
