Seen that Sears is now selling International tool boxes. They list the 56" bottom box for around $930 with free shipping. I was considering a Montezuma or a Masterforce but this box is 24" deep.Anyone have one of these boxes and if so how are they holding up?They look nice,I like the dark blue color and the fact they have a full width drawer and the 24" depth.Only thing I don't like is the narrow, tall drawer in the corner.

A buddy of mine has the 75" triple and it is pretty good, but not the greatest thing ever. It's made in Canada, which is better then china in my book. Slides and caster seem good. Has a good amount of weight to it, I judge boxes on how much they way. If its for home, should last forever. If its in a shop, should last a fairly long time. International is rebrand by a lot of companies like ATD, Wright, and the old SK. So shop around, there are a lot of places to find one. Overall, I would say they are the Waterloo of Canada.

I got one just like it for my home and I'm 100% satisfied. That's the best price I've seen on it. The made anywhere but china part of it is the icing on the cake. I just have to wonder what the real manufacturing cost is of the china boxes? It isnt like the Canadians are working for peanuts.

Thanks for the info.I'm really considering this to replace my current 26" Craftsman as I am out of room and need longer drawers for pry bars, breaker bars, etc.Does anyone have pictures of their boxes? It is always better so see pictures of a box in a garage/shop than the generic from a website.

Sweet box, extra savings and free shipping make it a real good deal. I'd take one over the 56" HF I have for same money.

I have owned an international box or about 10 years. It is heavily loaded. Mine is 41 inches wide and has the friction slides - the heavy duty friction slides that glide in an out like silk - just like you used to find on the old snap on boxes.

I have that box and its great. My only gripe with it was the full length drawer has a stiffener INSIDE the drawer, So there is a 1/4 by 6 or so inch "shelf" that runs the full length of the drawer, right down the middle.

To fix this so my socket racks would sit flat I cut strips of 1/4 mdf and put them in the bottom, then covered it with the anti slip stuff.

Oh yeah, NAPA carries these boxes up here, I paid $849 CAD for mine last year.

Good looking box. I recently put a lowball bid in on a 56" roll cab on ebay, but got outbid by far. :(

I currently have one of the 42" top chests and I like it (I got it cheap because it was damaged in shipment).

You mean the drawers? If so they are just a push to lock type, no lift catches or anything.

If you mean the lock itself, I dunno I have never locked it.

(just curious) I was under the impression that this line is built in Quebec. I know some of the other lines are built over seas.

I bought 3 Canadian made International roller cabinets almost 20 years ago and installed them under my main bench. They aren't the best of cabinets but they've held up very well. I have a similar Craftsman cabinet they are about the same quality.

Make sure you really get a Canadian made International, the chinese International boxes ****. I know, I have one, was told by International it was made in Canada, but when it arrived it had Made in China stickers on it.

Are the drawers pretty sturdy? Is the steel pretty thick & solid and not flimsy like the newer crapsmans boxes?

Arent they the same toolbox as the "extreme tools" brand? A kid at the tire shop down the road had one and the quality was actually great for the money

The 20 drawer 42" set up goes for like $650, I'm seriously considering it! I really don't want a china box.

I bought one, don't know for sure if it has "made in Canada" or China - just can't remember for the life of me. Can check tomorrow at work. I am mostly impressed, it's 18" deep and 48" wide don't know how high it is - has 11 drawers. The build quality is pretty good, my boss has a snap on box right beside mine, I can tell you there is a definite difference! Mine is much smaller (not as much surface area on the top) and the construction is quite a bit thinner. A person can pound on the Snap on's top and work there without any flex, however, if a heavy item is placed on my box one can tell it's not as strong as the snap on. However, it works, and I am pleased in that I havn't paid over 800 dollars Canadian to my door, and it holds all my tools so far. The one thing I am not so pleased about is the drawers do not FULLY open.
This is a great starter box, cannot comment on the larger ones, but I sort of already wish I bought a bigger box.

Extreme is made here in IL, good boxes as well just cost a little more.

Can anyone with one of these boxes confirm this? I know they're headquartered in Naperville, but there are some other posts saying they're made overseas.

Anyone have a clue what level of box sears is selling? It seems that the ones pictured on the website do not nave the corner trim. Different quality that the one pictured above? I am interested in getting one but the sears website chat feature was no help and they are not in the stores. Any ideas?

I've never dealt with QTFL, but I do have that top box (though mine I got cheap because it was damaged goods). I've been pleased with what I see of it. I'm tempted to see if I can snag a matching bottom box cheap somewhere.

I check it out at Sears last time and the quality to the drawer and slide (and # of slide) is very high quality, thick and ridgid.

Overall, I am not sure but any high quality box required high quality lock mechanism and they don't advertise these things. HF box is great except for their lock mechanism.

check out boxes from Northern Tool. Their boxes are also high quality.

I got mine from Quality Tools For Less. No issues at all other than having to wait a couple of weeks for delivery.
Free shipping and no sales taxes, it was worth the wait.

I just got mine today. So far very happy with it...even has the little "made in Canada" sticker on it. Make no mistake...it is no Snappy box. But its in the same class as the HF 42' that I looked at.
