The review:
The box had a few small dings no more than 1" in diameter, nothing worth returning it for, and they could probably be dollied in about 30 seconds, but I just don't care.
The finish is very good, I tried scraping it off inside the cabinet, and it's stuck well.
All drawer's come with a 1/4" thick foam rubber mat in them, cut perfectly. The top has 1/4" particle board base with a 1/4" thick foam rubber mat on top, also cut perfectly.
It has 6 wheels, with the semi-soft tread on them (very nice, I was going to junk the wheels and switch it to this, I had no clue it had them), with two of the step down cam brakes on two wheels (the kind that clamps on the rubber of the wheel itself, not the cam one on the bolt for the wheel) that grab very nicely.
The ball bearing slides work great, they seemed a little stiff, but got better with weight, and just a few openings. The deep drawer uses 4 slides, as an added bonus.
The full length top drawer has two stiffeners in the bottom that run front to back, which keeps the drawer bottom from popping down when it opens. It also has a center slide on the bottom. My craftsman pro has none of this (just a roller in the center) and the drawer bottom oil cans when you open and close it. I wish International put the stiffeners under the drawer instead of inside, but prefer having it this way over none at all.
It has two locks (the good cylinder kind), so you can unlock just one side of drawers if you want (both needed for the top drawer). The locking system is pretty heavy duty.
It's STURDY. This thing is freaking heavy. It also came with the wheels already on, just had to bolt the handle on and go. It was shipped sitting on upright 2x8's to keep the wheels off the ground.
It came with labels and a plastic cover you can slide into each drawer handle to label them if you want to, and 4 keys.
Here's my take: It's worthy EVERY penny. I would rate it better than a standard craftsman box, and as good as a craftsman pro (I have one, so this isn't just a "guess"), with the one exception that the drawers are the ones that close with a detent, not a grip latch system. That's the only area I see this box "lacking" in any way, shape, or form. It's not a big deal, I just like grip latches better since you don't have to push or pull on the drawer as hard.
My only other gripe was drawer height, although I quickly found out I needed deeper drawers than I thought I did, so it worked out well.
You can consider me one VERY happy person. I can't wait to buy the matching chest for the top of it. I won't spend a penny on another Craftsman box, I guarantee that.
Toolbox with white label strips and plastic covers in the handles (all other pictures without them, I like it with, but I'm not writing on them):
Side shot:
Rubber tread wheels with cam brakes:
Size of 1/3-2/3 drawers (I like these over my Craftsman Pro 1/2-1/2 setup):
Top drawer:
Top drawer stiffener (one on each side, keeps drawer from oil-canning like my Craftsman Pro):
Deep bottom drawer with dual ball bearing slides:
