Just found you guys over Christmas. This is such a great site. I like the mix. I have just purchased a shop that my father and I build when I was 12. He built this after he was let go from his construction job. He decided to go into business for himself. He ran a one man auto garage here through the 80's. When the economy went south, and everybody he did work for couldn't pay him, he decided to close the shop and move on. My grandmother purchased the shop in order to keep it in the family. She has had it rented to different people over the last twenty something years. Over the years the building has not been maintained.
The building was constructed on family land in Oklahoma. I feel very blessing that my mother and aunt allowed me to purchase the building. I also have a very loving wife that is excited to have her 3 boys learn about cars from their father. I hope to post a thread about the garage and the reclaiming of a 12 year olds dream.
