I found a nice vise to replace a loaner I borrowed from my folks a couple of years ago. It has the same features that my former vise has, swivles in 2 directions. Looks to be in great shape for the age.

Nice behemoth in the background. Looks a bit much for the bench it's on. Nice concentration of clamping force you've got going on on that little bench.

Another Parker 474! One just sold on eBay for $400. Looks great, missing the wrenches to lock the swivels.

Hard to read the casting letters from the picture but appears to be Charles Parker no. 474 in nice shape. If so, you've found a worthy replacement.

Bigger question is what is the vise in the top left of the photo / behind the Parker? Also, how many post vices are in the pictures? I count at least three and the one mounted to the bench looks like it's a pretty good size. More details and pictures please.

91 Bronc, The bench does look small in the pics in relation to the vises, but its not, bench alone is over 700 pounds, the top is 1" thick steel plate. About 1700 pounds setting there as of pic.

M100, The vise on the left is an 8.5" Rock Island. As far as post vises, I think there are 8 or 9 under there at the moment, several 6" all the way down to 3". Keeps the bench from moving around and keeps them out of the way!

$400.....WoW

I plan to use this for filing work only, no hammering or sawing. At that price I sure wouldnt want to put a mark on it.
