Hello guys Iv been a long time lurker. Always stumble onto this forum from random searches on the internet over the years. Always great stuff. Well I'm 23, Live in central Minnesota and just moved out of my parents and purchased my very first home. I come from the country, lots of room in the yard, tons of storage/shop space. I now live in town with a small 16x24 garage. There is a driveway slab out in front of the garage just big enough to squeeze my 1983 Chevy C10 on. So a bigger slab of concrete will need to be pored at some point. I have lots of toys as do most people. And they won't all fit inside now. Iv been getting rid of stuff I no longer need or use, and getting rid of junk I thought I might need someday. My biggest concerns are storing my Harley, my snowmobiles, and my 1957 Chevy pickup project all indoors.

What I'm wondering is, what do I have as far as options for an extension off the back of my garage. The garage is stucco siding. I have about 16ft behind the garage that would work perfect. I'm thinking 16x16 fully enclosed lean to with a roll up door. Concrete slab. Door on the side. This is where I would store my bike, snowmobiles, random truck parts, air compressor and anything else that doesn't need to be in the "shop" area which would be the garage portion.

I need opinions on this extension, is it doable, what kind of construction would be best. I'm thinking a pole barn style with tin. I don't need this insulated.

How to attach or add on the the backside of the stucco siding?

All hep is welcomed!
Thanks!

Welcome to the fourm... are you in a city or town?

Most will have building codes and set backs and all that stuff making building simple structures like your suggesting far more complex than need be.

One suggestion you may want to look into is a shipping container for your storage. They are often cheaper than building and go in super fast.
