Intro and Snap On Tools Question

Hello. First post, just signed up. I'm in Portland Oregon and I built my garage from the ground up after the previous garage had been completely overtaken by blackberries. Loads of fun. I try to put way too much in it and it's in a constant state of being "organized."

My tool question is this. I have a sizeable collection of really quality Snap On wrenches and other hand tools. I inherited them from a family member who was a Boeing mechanic. I have kept them for several years out of nostalgia but they need to be used. I don't need a 1 1/8" Found Way Wrench. :)

Was going to list them on the ol ebay but perhaps going direct to folks that might want them is easier.

Is this a good forum (i know I'll need to post in the classifieds) or are those types of tools more fitting to a specialized group?

Thanks!

I make only two observations -

Firstly, while you might have an idea of what you might need over the next few years, it’s very difficult to tell what tools you are going to need in a decade, or two, or whatever. I find myself getting involved with things, and needing tools, that I would never have thought I’d need a few years back.

Secondly, it sounds as though these tools are a few years old. The older Snap On is of incredibly high quality. Perhaps even higher quality than the current production. Once yours is gone you can never get it back.

Hand tools don’t take up a lot of space, and they don’t need to be used. Wipe them over, wrap them up, and store them somewhere safe!
