Hello all, Brian here. I would like to introduce myself before walking into your garages (figuratively). I have done a small amount of lurking and knew I needed to join this board.
About me, I have a 28x34 shop/garage originally built to give me space to build traditional hot rods and work on my scooters. But, since I suffer from TMC disease (Too Much ****) my dream shop has turned into a storage space for my 61 Chevy Truck, 83 Jeep Scrambler and 23 roadster pick up project that is on my shelves, along with tools and supplies for my contracting and hurricane protection business.
I found this site from another site where I am a member (the HAMB) and must say that I am in awe of the garages on here.
Back to my shop, it is wood frame with scissor trusses and when I did the slab I added thickened footers in the middle in hopes of adding a lift in the future. The lift idea went to the back burner. I built it to the odd size since I was limited on space with set-backs and turning radius issues. I insulated the interior walls and went with white paneling but haven't completed insulating the ceiling yet. It was built with too many windows as I later realized that I didn't have enough wall to use for storage so I have a loft in one end and high shelves down the sides.
I hope to contribute as much as I gain from here
Thanks Brian
