After lurking here for a few days and then setting up an account, I felt it proper to come here to introduce myself before posting in any of the forums.
I found this site about a week ago while searching the web for reviews of tools. IIRC, I was looking for feedback on KD, but anyway I followed a link to this board's Tool Review forum and was impressed at many of the threads I found. Further exploration of the board was almost a treasure trove of information.
Like many of you, I am a DIY with many interests that I hope to share. My interests include sheet metal fabrication, welding (plastic and metal), fiberglass fabrication, woodworking, and anything else involving building from scratch or modifying. We all know that since men can't have babies they love to build stuff
One of my chief interests right now is upgrading my current stash of hand tools and acquiring more. I am a stickler for quality over price as I want my tools to last. I don't believe new is better than used/old, so refurbishing old equipment doesn't scare me.
Anyway, I'm hoping to learn more both here and in my personal endeavors and hope to be able to contribute in kind. Please bear with me if and when I request feedback or ply people with questions. I'm a stickler for details and try to anticipate potential issues.
