I have been following the GJ forums for a while registered a few months ago and just bought a house / garage ....

2350 square foot ranch with the same size basement/ garage ... The house is in a hill so the driveway wraps around to the basement. As it is right now it is set up to have a single file four car deep garage and the furthest bay in can be closed off from the rest. the other aide of the basement was partially a workshop and the other portion was a family room.

I am working on painting the living room and doing some things in the house for now but I did start to rip out the poorly done drywall in the "garage" that's no where near fire code ....

This summer as far as the garage/basement is considered I will be removing the drywall... Jacking up the house a bit under the kitchen to re-level the floor.... Cutting up the full parameter to the basement to install drainage tile and a crock .. and then re-drywalling the garage side of the basement

And pictures are worth allot more than my poor description so here they are...

Forgot to mention what I will so with my garage ... Its main use will be my model airplane shop / place to work on my VW.

Last picture is the other side of the basement acting as a storage area for my sister and brother inlaw at the moment

Roughly 80ft deep ...the the plan is to take the center wall down in the farthest back bay and turn that into my shop area so it can be sectioned off from the car parking area with the rollup door. That would be the paneling room and the storage area together. It's definitely allot different than most of the garages on here. ....

On the other side of my driveway there is plenty of room for a detached garage at some point down the road that's always an option.

Welcome to the GJ from VA!
Interesting garage - have you posted this in either the gallery or in the general garage discussion? More traffic there...

Looks great, welcome from Buffalo! Looks like you have a nice assortment of shop machinery as well. Looking forward to progress, you have a really unique setup there, I like the ability to drive deep into the workspace.
