Snap-on figures we'll whine around for awhile but eventually give in and buy their Chinese made hammer.
Exactly! I give Cornwell a hard time. I say hmm. Cornwell torx bit sockets 72 bucks, made in China or Taiwan, they don't say. I say people should just go buy Gearwrench torx sockets at Advanced Auto for 19.98 on sale; since they are an apples to apples comparison. When Cornwell makes some real USA hardline bit sockets I'll upgrade, until then no thanks.
I just ordered three sets of Gearwrench ratcheting wrench sets. The long gear box set, the stubby flex head set, and the double box regular set. I passed on the Cornwell gear wrenches, they didn't have a good selection, missed sizes, and hey, they are just off brand ratcheting wrenches with a Cornwell logo, so why bother?
Give the tool companies **** back to them, if everyone wants to be like Gearwrench, then just buy GW, until the damn companies make what we want.
I buy USA hardline tools from the big 4, if they don't offer a USA high quality tool I am looking for, I would rather just buy a known import brand to tide me over, instead of endorsing the high priced imports on the tool trucks.
In my opinion, companies don't need to offer stuff like the Matco silvereagle, SO Blue point, and Cornwell re-labeled sell outs................the tools may be aok, but when I purchase from a truck tool brand, I EXPECT TO UPGRADE, AND PAY A HANDSOME PRICE FOR A SUPERB, ULTIMATE, HIGH END TOOL, not another watered down replica of a common brand.
If my "logic" does not make sense, let me know. I will keep buying cornwell tools until I run out of USA hardline to buy, the rest can be kept.
