Introduction from Stillwater, OK

This forum looks like a great place to learn. I recently bought a house on 10 acres and I'm just starting to get my thoughts/plans together to build a shop. If you have a recommendation on free or low cost design software I would appreciate it!

SK: welcome to GJ. since you live in Oklahoma might i suggest reading some of the threads of member's who have built or are building or remodeling their garages and homes in Oklahoma? then if you like what they say in their threads maybe ask them who they used for their design.

we are a very helpful group as a whole, but it still takes work to find out some information on your own.

Hi SK, I saw the Stillwater and thought you should know we have a Stillwater here in NY in the Adirondack Mountains. There are no roads into the hamlet, only access is by an old railroad track or water in the summer and snowmobile in the winter. There are about nine year round residents, no electricity but there is a telephone line. One motel/bar, there was two at one time but competition was pretty stiff . I suspect Stillwater, OK is more accessible. Welcome.

Thanks for the NY history! Sounds like a small town indeed. Stillwater, OK is a little larger being the home of Oklahoma State University. There is also a Stillwater, MN.
