Introduction to my new shop

New to the forum, introduced myself in the intro area, thought I should come introduce my new shop in the garage forum. Its a 60x60 airplane hanger on a grass airfield. I have owned it for a few months now but have not had much time to do anything with it as I have been working out of the country.

When I purchased it, it had been empty for a couple of years because the gentlemen that owned it had passed on. Part of the building is built out into a loft apartment complete with kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. There are also (2) 40' storage containers of site wired with power from the building.

It has some good history as the gentlemen who owned the building was a ex race car driver turned mechanic. He worked on all kinds of high end cars and racing airplanes out of this shop. I have found quite a few references to his work and the cars he dealt with in some on-line searches. I definitely have some big shoes to fill. Currently I am just trying to get setup there so I can work on my 69 C10 which is in desperate need of some work so it can be cool again.

Thanks for looking and hopefully down the road there will be a lot of work at my shop to show off.

DD

This is cool. Lots of space, living quarters, history and most of all potential! Looking forward to more pictures.
