introduction

greetings everyone this is my first post .Hi !,not sure where to start so here goes .I came here to this site for more info.on raising rafters above a car lift to clear truck cab or roof on suv .I installed a 7000 lb. two post lift in garage this last Nov. just finishing up replacement cover for chain trough the old one was all rusted out.Ive done some construction but never raised rafters.From what i have read hear it seems very straight forward . Im a retired production mechanic from coca cola,Navy viet nam vet gun fire control tech ,electrician

Sparkman: here's a thread where another member raised/changed his rafters on his 15x25 old 100 year old garage to get you started and if you are a Sparky you'll love all his HIGH TECH stuff too.

DENWOOD started his thread a couple years ago with the roof raising and installing a MAX JAX lift so those posts are at the beginning of his thread.

if you can maybe post up some pictures and ask questions either on a new thread of your own, on an existing thread where they are talking about that subject that might get you more eyes from other members. or just post a few pictures on this introduction thread cause there are a few members that might see it here, but a lot of members don't know about this section or make the time to visit it.
